My 20" Stoeger double barrel 12 gauge coach gun can now be a double barrel rifle chambered in 45-70 Govt by using the two 18" Chaszel shotgun adapters I just received.

They have many adapters for use in shotguns and rifles.

How’s regulation and recoil with the 45-70 out of that platform?

I haven't had a chance to try them yet. I'll post results when I do.

WRT recoil, I handload with smokeless and black powder, using 300 gr, 350 gr, 405 gr, and 500 gr bullets, so I've got control of the energy level.
