Bought a new hunting pack and it's way too big

It looked perfect online but I got it and it's huge. I don't carry enough stuff to fill this thing, now I'm debating returning it or just dealing with it.

I’ve done the same. Sometimes smaller packs work better, you rarely need that much space in the field anyway.

Every hunting pack somehow looks smaller online. Give it one trip first and you might end up appreciating the extra space.

Just keep the oversized pack. One day you’ll need to haul extra gear and won’t have anything else to toss it in. The return window closes but that need shows up.

Seriously, if your pack’s too big and killing you on steep terrain, just send it back. Life’s too short to wrestle with a backpack that makes the climb harder. Downsize and move on..
