New Hampshire's constitutional carry law has been in effect for a while now. I appreciate the freedom it provides, though I still maintain my permit for reciprocity when traveling. I talked to some folks recently who had concerns about training requirements being optionalm, what do NH gun owners think about how constitutional carry is working here?

I’ve lived in NH a few years, and honestly, constitutional carry’s worked fine. Most folks I know still take training on their own. I kept my permit too, mainly for travel, I haven’t seen any real issues since it passed

....to add the worry is that people carrying concealed may lack the necessary safety, marksmanship, and legal training like when they can legally use deadly force, potentially increasing risk

That’s good to hear. Seems like most responsible owners still seek training regardless. I’m the same way.

I get that concern, training gaps worry me too. Maybe communities should promote voluntary safety courses and legal-usage seminars so carriers stay competent and informed without mandates.
