This thing is so much fun! I use half a coffee filter over the 90 gr charge of FFFg, 30 pellets of #4 buck, and the other half of the filter to hold it all in place. Or, I use a patched .710 cal round ball over the same charge. The 8½ lb gun makes the recoil tolerable. (Of course, I could just use less of everything.)

Nice setup @Squib_Load that brass flintlock sounds like a handful I would shoot carefully. I love the creativity but always double check powder, patching, and basic safety gear.

Sounds cool! Coffee filter craft and a smile, totally old school. I'll bring marshmallows if you take it to the range. Nothing beats a flintlock puff for showmanship, just remember to keep it pointed downrange, okay?
