I've been checking out different shooting ranges, and I'm curious about everyone's favorites. What range do you go to most, and what makes it stand out for you? Is it the staff, the vibe, or maybe location?

I've been a member of the Ferry Brook Range in Keene NH for over 25 years.

Key card access to property gate, club house / office, and indoor range. Very high berms between the shooting bays. Ranges up to 600 yards. (600 yd has electronic scoring sent to your smart phone.) Many competitions are held here: trap, Garand, sniper, high power, Cowboy action, youth leagues, action pistol, target pistol, all kinds of NRA courses, archery range. Many trained RSOs. We have so many pistol bays that having one all to yourself is common. Steel plates, gongs, dueling tree. Seven-lane indoor range with waterfall trap and good vent system. Area police departments and security services train here. Every range has a first aid kid and an air horn to declare trouble.

It's growing. There's another facility being built on the property. I don't know what it will be.

The Piscataqua Fish & Game Club has a nice outdoor range. Least expensive club out towards the seacoast. Club has a few member openings still this year (2025)...
