I got nice stuff sitting in my closet that I'm "saving for the right hunt." Meanwhile I'm using beat-up gear because I don't want to mess up the good stuff. That's stupid, this year I'm using what I bought. Anyone else guilty of babying gear instead of actually using it?

I finally stopped treating my Sitka Stratus jacket and Benchmade Griptilian like they were fragile. They're made to be used, not just sit in a closet. Gear gets better with wear, you know?
